Go n-Éirí Libh!

A huge well done to Oisín Glynn Gormley, Lauren O'Gorman, Ethan Miller, Oisín Dunne, Ronan Devlin, and Aoife Doyle on successfully progressing through the recent trials to represent our school at the Cumann na Bunscol Skills Compeition. Each student demonstrated exceptional skill, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the selection process, making the standard of competition incredibly high.

We wish them all the very best of luck as they prepare for the competition. We have no doubt they will represent our school with pride and give it their all on the day.

Well done again to all involved!

Thank You for Your Generous Support

IMG_20260204_125037337_HDR (1).jpg

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Michael Anthony and Susan O’Neill for their incredibly generous donation, which has made a meaningful and lasting impact on our classrooms.

Thanks to their support, we have been able to significantly upgrade the technology in Mr Finn's 3rd and 4th class with the purchase and installation of a new interactive whiteboard. This investment has transformed the way our students learn and engage with lessons on a daily basis.

For many students, this type of technology can make a real difference in how they absorb and retain information. It supports different learning styles, helps to simplify complex ideas, and creates a more inclusive classroom environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed.

This generous contribution will benefit not only current students but also many classes in the years to come. It is an investment in the future of our school and in the educational experiences of our young learners.

On behalf of our staff and students, we would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Michael Anthony and Susan O’Neill for their kindness and support. Your generosity is truly appreciated and will have a lasting positive impact.

Thank you for helping us create a brighter, more engaging future for our students.

Seachtain Na Gaeilge 2026

I mbliana, bhí Seachtain na Gaeilge ar siúl ón gcéad lá de Mhárta go dtí Lá Fhéile Pádraig. Chaith muid an dá sheachtain seo chun ceiliúradh a dhéanamh ar an nGaeilge agus ar an gcultúr Gaelach agus iad a chur chun cinn inár scoil.
Scríobh Rang a Sé litreacha i nGaeilge chuig daltaí Rang a Sé i scoil áitiúil eile. Ar an Luan an 16ú, chaith gach duine éadaí glasa chun a mbród a thaispeáint.

This year Irish Week was held from the first of march until St Patrick's day. We sued these two weeks to celebrate and promote Irish language and culture in our school.
Students learned songs, art and dances through Irish. 6th Class students created and hosted  quizes through Irish for each class in the school. 6th class wrote letters in irish to the 6th class students in another local school. On Monday the 16th everyone wore green.

World Book Day 2026

We celebrated World Book Day on the 12th of March this year. Students were invited to dress up as a character from a book they had read. Even the teachers dressed up as characters from the Mr Men and Little Miss series. We then held a parade outside so that everyone could show off their wonderful costumes. A book swap was held in the school hall and students could leave a book they no longer wanted and take a book that they did want. Some classes did quizzes on famous books and their authors and others acted out scenes from books they had read.
